Somatic Psychotherapy
As a clinical psychologist and licensed nat. psychotherapist specializing in complex trauma, I guide clients on a holistic healing journey by integrating traditional psychotherapy with a focus on the body-mind connection.
In our online sessions, we delve into understanding how past experiences have shaped your current emotional landscape. Together, we work to foster a deep connection with your body, using mindfulness and somatic techniques to unlock healing potential.
Through compassionate inquiry, we create a safe space to process, release, and transform deeply rooted patterns, aiming to reconnect you with your body's wisdom for a more balanced sense of self.
Join me on this transformative journey towards greater self-awareness, emotional regulation, and profound well-being.
With care and integrity,
Clarity begins with a conversation.
Sometimes, all it takes is a safe space to truly feel what’s going on.
In a free consultation call, we’ll gently explore whether my approach feels right for you — confidentially, without judgment, and completely pressure-free.
Approach
Authentic experience.
We often react to our emotions without consciously experiencing them. However, consciously experiencing emotions is necessary to heal. For example, when we push down sadness, we lose our aliveness. When we truly experience our emotions without trying to control them, we gain aliveness, self-awareness, and strength.
Misperception.
It is important to distinguish between feelings and perceptions. Feelings are an emotional state in the present moment. Perceptions often refer to someone else. For example, "I feel rejected." That's not a feeling. That is a perception. You may be correct in that perception. But that's not what it's about, it's about your emotional state in the present moment, that needs to heal.
“The privilege of a lifetime is to become who you truly are.”

Methods
Integral Approach
Body-oriented psychotherapy views the person as a whole, including the body, thoughts, and feelings. It takes into account how physical sensations and expressions are linked to emotional and mental processes.
Working with Core Beliefs
Identify and transform deep-seated, unconscious beliefs that are holding you back. These beliefs are often formed in childhood through formative experiences and unconsciously influence our behavior and decisions.
Trauma Therapy
Body-oriented psychotherapy can be particularly effective in treating trauma because it addresses traumatic experiences stored in the body.
Psychoeducation & Coaching
Gain valuable knowledge and practical tools to help you better understand yourself and navigate your journey of self-discovery with confidence.
Inner Child Work
Heal your inner child's wounds to foster personal growth and deep self-compassion. Address past traumas and unmet needs rooted in childhood to break free from limiting patterns.
Tensions and Blockages
Physical tensions, pains, and blockages can indicate unprocessed emotional or traumatic experiences. Together we can identify these and try to resolve them.
Who I Work With
I support people struggling with psychological or psychosomatic challenges – especially when conventional approaches have not led to lasting change.
I don’t work with diagnoses, but with the person behind the symptoms. I believe many of these patterns can be traced back to early, often unconscious experiences stored in the nervous system. Even when they’re not recognized as trauma, they shape how we think, feel, and relate.
My body-oriented psychotherapy is about gently exploring these imprints, making new inner experiences possible – and opening the path toward true and lasting transformation.
Common topics my clients bring:
-
Persistent low mood, emotional numbness, inner emptiness, exhaustion, lack of motivation, or suicidal ideation.
-
Chronic anxiety, panic episodes, catastrophic thinking, over-alertness, or a constant sense of unease (chronic nervous system activation)
-
Sudden rage, frequent outbursts, suppressed or uncontrollable anger, or a feeling of emotional volatility.
-
Problematic or compulsive use of alcohol, drugs, medication, food, social media, work, sex, or relationships to self-soothe or escape.
-
Discomfort with your body, deep shame, low self-worth, sexual numbness, loss of desire, or difficulty with closeness.
-
Physical complaints like fatigue, headaches, digestive issues, or pain that persist without clear medical cause.
-
Feeling numb, emotionally shut down, disconnected from your body, or like you’re not really present.
-
Feeling like a stranger to yourself, lack of purpose, inner emptiness, or not knowing who you are or where you belong.
-
Unresolved emotional, physical, or sexual trauma – often from childhood or early relationships – can leave deep imprints on the nervous system. Even without clear memories, experiences like emotional neglect, ongoing stress, boundary violations, or insecure attachment may show up later as chronic tension, shame, self-doubt, relationship struggles, or a persistent sense of overwhelm.
